Are you talking about the TV version or the single, because the TV version did absolutely suck, I was shocked when I heard it. But the single is actually quite good, I was surprised at how rocky and, how do I say this eloquently, not gay it sounded.

Wow that album cover is...interesting. Could argue it's mocking Alizée, but I suppose he wouldn't mock the singer of the song that made him famous.

I found this a little interesting to say the least, according to Wikipedia his most memorable performances and revelations on Nouvelle Star were while singing "Moi... Lolita" from "Alizée" and "...Baby One More Time" from "Britney Spears". Oh, and he did a cover for Madonna "Like a Virgen"......

Almost all famous music artists has what is known as a 'signature song'. What this means is that this song identifies this artist and any other artist who would even think of recording it as their own is committing commercial suicide. Julien is taking a huge risk with Moi-Lolita.
