Smile Freewares

Freeware is copyrighted computer software which is made available for use free of charge, for an unlimited time... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freeware

Thought it would be great to share any freeware we use and like, not just a link to a site full of freewares but your personal review or recomendation of a specific freeware be it for Mac or Pcs. Since I use a Mac I'm going to start by recomending the following freeware for Macs...

This program is for creating different iphoto libraries, instead of having everything sorted out in only one iphoto library... http://www.iphotobuddy.com/ another similar freeware... http://www.apple.com/downloads/macos...yselector.html

I think this is great since it allows you to have different libraries - I have one with only Alizée photos, one with all my 3D animation design, one with photos of all my girlfriends (jk), photos of friends and family, etc...

Photoshop is Adobe software which is not free. I think there's a "light" $100 version. yes,no?
I downloaded GIMP for a photo contest on this site (didn't win). I still haven't really gone though a tutorial for it, though that's definitely required. It's a royal pain in the, well, it's difficult to figure out what to do when you're new to it. Still, it was better than what I had. It's not hard to find.
Here's my recommendation: allSnap for Windows. I've used it on my work PC (when I had one) and I use it on my home PC - Windows XP Professional and Home editions. It works fine as far as I can tell. It makes it easy for you to align a window with either the edge of the monitor or other windows when dragging a window around. I love it! I use version 1.30.6 http://www.cs.utoronto.ca/~iheckman/...p/asnp1306.exe
