I've tried.... My responses have ranged from complete ignorance of her music ("She's hot"), to amusant at my musical tastes having barely listened to the intro ("Ha, how the hell can you listen to that"). I even got a couple of people who refused to listen because it was in French.
The worst I got was a person saying, and I quote, "I've seen better", which led to him recieving quite a large bruise on his arm for missing the point entirely
Irish youth can be quite ignorant of things they don't know. Hopefully, it's something people grow out of.
