On En A Marre

Here is aFrenchie's translation of this fan song made by Alizée-Alliance.

It's said to be rough translation so if someone has something to correct, speak now or be silent forever !

Here is the original lyrics (as well as link to the song itself):

Quote:

"We're fed up!"

We're all waiting for you
We know you're pushing us!
In spite of that, we love you
Forever!
And if the press
Sometimes neglects you,
The critics: we...
forget them!

It's a problem, more than three years
Always the same [understand: old songs], it's not funny anymore
From Gourmandises to "Mes courants..."
No more surprises! it's lots of time!

We're all waiting for you
In spite of the shakes ["secousses" like "secousses sismiques" in the real song]
You're "bubbling" in the shadow ["buller" is "to make bubbles" or slang for "to hang about"]
of challenges!
All those delights:
Are tortures
For all your fans
In... formed! Who [??? avertis=informed, warned, aware, etc]
get impatient!

We're fed up with rumors,
That inflame only tears,
That torment us, sadden us
On the idea of a fixed return
We're fed up with promises,
That we swallow and that we forsake
By checking all months that go by ["cocher" is like "checking" a check box]
By thinking that it annoys us
We're fed up with stories
That make us mope
Fed up with waiting on sidewalks
All this is fake-hopes only!
We're fed up with cynics,
Fan attitude that runs out!
Above all fed up with your lateness! Also

We're all waiting for you
In a mild bedroom
Some syrupy harmonies
You're laying back,
As we grow tired
Of this same discography
There's like a slight problem

that whole thing just pisses me off ... i dont know why. i understand the point, but it just seems really insulting to me.

Yea, I never liked it myself either. I'm sure they didn't mean anything bad with it even tho it gave bad vibes when they planned it. And I still think the lyrics are too harsh...

But what is done is done...

To me the song wasn't needed im sure she knows her fans are waiting but she most likly wants to put out a great album and not a good one plus she might not have a record label and stuff that takes time to get done and what i dont get is if they say they love her why they cant wait till she is ready to release new stuff

i like this song! what a truth!

nurvonic 11-23-2006 02:07 PM

LOL...wtf was that?

aFrenchie 11-23-2006 02:57 PM

I'm not sure it's that rude. It mostly talks about the press, the rumors, etc. And even starts with "In spite of that, we love you. Forever!". They're sending her an S.O.S. :D

Yes I did it quite quickly and I'm sure that garçoncanadien and Cooney will have many improvements to do there :D

It does sound like it is mostly pointed toward the press and rumors but at the same time does seem like parts of it are pointed towards her fans as well.

Just my 2 cents. :D

And part of is pointed against her, which is plain wrong...

seems to me the whole thing is pointed at her. if we weren't 'waiting' .. none of this would be an issue. it makes it even more annoying to me, considering Alizee just sent them a letter a few months ago, saying she would be back soon.

again, I understand what they are trying to do .. and they aren't doing it to be mean. But if I was Alizee, and I saw that song .. I think I would say "Go screw yourselves"

Maybe there are cultural differences here that I am not seeing, for all I know Alizee may love this kind of stuff and think it is something great.
