Or, in English...

Woot! My license plates are here!

I hereby christen my car "ALIZEE1"

Darn Amero-centric DMV wouldn't cough up an É for me, but I may add the accent myself with model paints. Either way, I'm a happy camper now - I've been waiting on these for a couple months ::grins::

That's amazing! I've never been so impressed by a license plate.

Shouldn't it be "youpidoo" ? (since other texts are in English... ;) )

But other than that, it's cool :)

Fantastic idea, Cooney! I wish I had thought of it.

That's freakin' awasome! Maybe I'll get to see those babies in person in the not-too-distant future :)

Hehe, I thought about that, but stuck with "Youpidou" as I prefer the French version of the song. Also, I think "Youpidou" will be more distinct as a reference to something than "Youpidoo," simply because it looks foreign in comparison :-)

If you see me on the streets Hollister, wave! ::grins::

Hey Coonie, how much do custom plates cost now? I have half a mind to make my vehicle "ALIZEE2" now :p . Still, that means I'd also have to decide if my '87 Blazer is a worthy mounting for Alizee's name.

Anyway, I've already thought of the coolest phrase for the frames:
"... Like the Wind."

haha .. that is great :)

Hehe, well, the plates I'd been thinking of as alternatives (and which I know are still available) was "LALIZEE" - combining the title "L'Alizé" with her name. If you want to use "Like the Wind" for the frames, I'd definitely go with that one. Also, that way you're not stuck with having to use a number 2 or anything diminutive like that :-) Actually, the only reason there's a number on mine, and I didn't just get "ALIZEE" by itself, is because Washington has restricted usage for plates of 5 or 6 letters length, beginning with AA through AM, and having a number or the letters I or O in the third slot. D'oh!

As for the cost, I believe it was $47.75 for the new plates, plus the $30 custom registration (which is the yearly fee). Check with your auditor's office for your cost, as I believe it is different for different types of vehicles.
